and
being lost is seen as an opportunity
to restore one's bearing and regain clarity in self-knowledge.
Hello!
I am Jeanice Cheong, a registered Clinical Psychologist in Singapore.
I am presently serving clients in Bright Psych of Life, a private practice located in the East of Singapore. I am a registered Psychologist with the Singapore Register of Psychologists, Singapore Psychological Society. I am a certified Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) therapist with the International Society of Emotion-Focused Therapy (IsEFT).

I have been practising as a Clinical psychologist in Singapore for more than a decade. In the recent years, I have been working with clients in private practice. Prior to that, I have almost a decade of clinical experience at the Institute of Mental Health, a tertiary mental health institute in Singapore. This is in addition to my years of service as a psychologist working with both uniformed and civilian officers/staff in the Singapore Civil Defence Force and Singapore Police Force.

My experience includes providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults with interpersonal and relational concerns, stress and anger management difficulties, grief and loss, trauma and abuse, mood disturbances, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and personality disorders. In recent years, I expanded my services to include couple psychotherapy, and had been working and journeying with couples on their relational injuries and conflicts, towards more sustainable and helpful interactional processes.

In addition, I have experience in conducting group therapy and psychological evaluations such as IQ and neuropsychological assessments.

I have delivered training sessions on psychology and mental health- related topics to Home Team officers, community partners in Family Service Centres, and staff from corporate companies like RySense Ltd and PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore Pte. Ltd.

Lastly, the following are awards I received in my career as a psychologist:

2010: Edward Schaeffer's Best Research Presentation Award - Society for Police and Criminal Psychology

2011: Healthcare Graduate Studies Award - Ministry of Health Holdings

2025: COVID-19 Resilience Medal - Ministry of Health
